Welcome to the Guidance Office at EMS
School Counseling Mission
Our mission is to enhance the academic, personal/social, and career development for all students in grades 6 through 8. We will do our best to establish positive connections and consistent communication with school and community resources through the delivery of consultation, coordination, classroom guidance, individual counseling, and group counseling.
How and why do parents contact the School Counselor?
- Concerns over student achievement
- Family health problems
- New school registration and orientation
- Test interpretation
- Discussing special needs of their child
- Early discussion of potential crises
- Family difficulties or concerns
Parents can call the school counselor at any time for a phone conference or to set up a school visit.
